    A festive line-up for cosy weekends: cacao pain au chocolat, glossy tarte tatin, our Butternut Danish with honey & goat’s cheese, a comforting butternut & onion quiche, cardamom babka — and always our indulgent Chausson aux Pommes.

    Best enjoyed with our Festive Hot Drinks, a hot chocolate with Marshmallows, or the classic latte.

    Hosting made simple. Pre-order our seasonal quiches, large sharing tarts (including Galette des Rois) and festive brunch bakes — perfect for family meals, cosy weekends and holiday tables.

Here, pastries are still crafted the traditional way, bread arrives straight from our Muswell Hill workshop, and everything is served with the calm, cosy pace of a neighbourhood café.

Micro-bakery & open workshop


In the heart of a vibrant neighbourhood, our first bakery opened in July 2022 as a true atelier-boutique: an open workshop where everything is mixed, shaped and baked in full view. Sourdough loaves come out of the oven throughout the morning, filling the street with the smell of warm bread.

We love sharing our craft — and the secret is that there’s no secret at all: just time, good flour, natural leaven and honest work.

THE STORY BEHIND

Born and raised in Normandy, Pierre, our owner and head baker, is a child of the land. His grandparents were farmers in the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel, his great-grandparents were millers, and his great-uncle was a baker.

Turning 40 and reconnecting with a childhood dream, Pierre stores his business manager's suit and becomes a baker after intensive training at Ecole Internationale de Boulangerie in the South of France.

With his wife Florence, a Paralympic wheelchair tennis medallist, and their two young daughters, Pierre moves to London to create Boulangerie Pierre Alix, Muswell Hill's family-run, independent bakery.

In our boutique kitchen, we bake sourdough breads from organic flour, without yeast or additives, as well as quality Viennese pastries and a whole range of pastries and snacks.

Our products are handcrafted in small batches daily, and any leftover is donated to the Alexandra Wylie Tower Foundation.

Coming for a coffee at Pierre Alix has become one of my favourite moments of the week. Everyone who works there greets you with a smile and a warm welcome, and the food is absolutely sublime — the coffee, too! As a mum of three, I often find it uncomfortable to go to cafés, especially since some places in the area, while welcoming to dogs, can be quite unwelcoming to families. Since Pierre Alix opened, I’ve had no doubts about where to go for a coffee, even when I’m with my kids. Thank you for always being so kind and making everyone feel welcome!
